TRI DELT
Known for: “Try Delt”, wild and crazy, top three

Pros: Tri Delt is one of the strongest and most prominent houses on campus. Each event they sponsor has a huge crowd, and their date parties are crazy campus affairs. Last year’s pledge class has a lot of promise, with one Theta stating “They got the coolest girl on campus, no question. Everyone wanted her and a bunch of others.” While competitive with Theta and Kappa, Tri Delt seems to be more removed from the fighting. Known for their partying, Tri Delts do not let down. Their Spring Jungle Party was insane, as was their past few social events (they have had very limited due to recently lifted social probation). One of their biggest pasttimes is Wednesday night at McFadden’s- where these girls have been known to be bartenders, bar dancers, and everything else you can imagine.
Cons: The Tri Delt of 2008 is not the Tri Delt of 2004. When the “Rushed” documentary came out and revealed Tri Delt’s rush techniques, the house had to go through an overhaul of their recruitment strategies. On top of that, Tri Delt has had social probation for some rule violations, causing them to try to keep a low profile. These issues combined for a messy rush in 2007. The rising junior don’t epitomize what Tri Delt was once known for: “hot brunette girls.” On top of that, Tri Delt’s strongest class, their seniors, just graduated. How that will affect them–no one knows.
Tri Delt used to be a house of brunette girls that were out of reach of most guys on campus. In a few years, they’ve fallen from Olympus, but have still remained in an elite tier about most NU guys. With their social probation behind them and new rush tactics in place, they seem to be moving forward and regaining the ground they lost in ’07. Tri Delt is the house with the most shining stars- literally. Stargazers, or what Tri-Ds call their most sought after potential new members, are plentiful in DDD…and they routinely score some of the most highly fought over girls each year in rush. One downside to Tri Delt’s partying image? Sluttiness also goes hand in hand with it (“Try Delt, everyone else has”). But, if you can shake off the small downsides, Tri Delt is one great house to find yourself in.

yea, they might be hot and fun when they start as pledges, but after 3 years of boozing, most of their seniors graduate looking worn out and shitty.

What is so respectable about the house is that they are truly nice girls who don’t let the “slut” label bother them. Props to them.

DDD has seriously slipped and I know of multiple members of the 2008 pledge class that are very close to deactivation. There may be a few cool girls but the sorority is so random. i see DG moving into tridelt’s top spot in just a couple years
